A Brenda Schoenfeld modernist Mexican sterling brooch. Featuring aspects of geometric design the piece displays a variety of textures from natural materials to polished sterling silver. An oval abalone stone crowns the turned sterling square beneath. Dangling below a two link chain is a hammered naturalistic shape, reminiscent of coral. A stamped signature is on the back of the piece. The words “Brenda Schoenfeld” encircle “925” and “Mexico”.

Brenda Schoenfeld is famous for modern, high quality jewelry. Born in Mexico she started making jewelry for family and friends until growing demand for her designs prompted her to start operating on a larger scale. She expertly combines old Taxco craftsmanship and quality with the long European traditions of silversmithing and design.

Condition:

Pre-owned, this brooch is in good condition. There are no cracks or repairs however, there are scratches commensurate with use.Slight signs of tarnish are appearing on the pendant, yet could be counteracted with regular polishing.
