A wonderful 2-piece Heywood Wakefield mid-century sideboard with hutch. Stamped on the back and dated May 11th 1954 this is a true vintage piece. The hutch is stamped with the distinctive Heywood Wakefield eagle logo, “175” and “Champagne.” Additionally the base is stamped M590 Pat. No. 2,126,916 Champagne. The production date is also in the top left corner of the base.
The hutch is made from birch, a material that was exclusively used by Heywood Wakefield since 1940. There are two shelves and a surface in the hutch and a drawer with double cupboard in the base. As the piece separates the hutch could be used complete or just as a sideboard.

Hutch measures 31 ¾” Tall x 32 ½” Long x 14 ¾” Deep
The sideboard and hutch are in good pre-owned condition with wear commensurate with age and use. The color is not original to the piece as the item is stamped champagne but the color is darker than it should be. Some light scratches are present and there is a tiny patch of veneer missing on the bottom left corner of the left hand side of hutch. Deeper scratches can be found on bottom right side of sideboard. There is a small veneer split on left side of sideboard along with pinprick white marks. Lastly please view all the photographs as they serve as an extension of the description and condition report.
