Milo Baughman Dresser and Mirror for Drexel Today’s Living

Milo Baughman Dresser and Mirror for Drexel Today’s Living. Renowned Mid-Century Modern icon Milo Baughman (1923-2003) designed the Today’s Living collection for Drexel in 1952, the sole year he was employed by that company before moving on to his quintessential 50-year collaboration with Thayer Coggin. Believing in the positive impact of furniture on people’s lives, Baughman strove to create functional furniture instead of overly designed museum pieces. Ironically, several museums now feature Baughman’s iconic designs, including New York City’s Whitney Museum of American Art. After almost a half century of tireless and timeless works, Baughman cemented his position among the pantheon of Mid Century Modern greats with his induction to The Furniture Hall of Fame in 1987.
