Shipping Policy

Please be assured that your items will ship out within two days of purchase. We determine the most efficient shipping carrier for your order. The carriers that may be used are: U.S. Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or FedEx. Sorry but we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. If you’re trying to estimate when a package will be delivered, please note the following:

  • Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing.
  • Federal Express and UPS deliveries occur Monday through Friday, excluding

Intercontinental Shipping

Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery does not have its own delivery service. We ship all items nationally within the Continental United States.

Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery is happy to arrange shipping for our customers. All items are insured for shipment with trusted carriers. Shipping providers, insurance and packing facilities are third party entities and are independent of Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery.

Customers are free to arrange their own shipping. Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery asks that if you arrange your own shipment to be sure your carrier will provide packing services and insurance. Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery does not provide packing for freight shipments. All items must be picked up within 14 days of purchase; otherwise, at that time storage fees will begin to be charged. Please feel free to contact us with any special shipping needs.

Free local pick-up is also available and the staff at Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery would be happy to assist you. Please inform us if you intend to personally pick-up an item purchased online prior to collection so that we can inform you of packing supplies you may find helpful to bring with you.

International Shipping

We are also willing to ship internationally. However, certain restrictions apply. Those items not eligible for international shipping will be indicated within the listing information.

Please be aware that we [Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery] cannot be responsible for any possible import restrictions in force in other countries, so overseas buyers should always ensure (prior to purchase) that there will be no problems with importing any items bought from us. Any loss caused by import/customs delays, restrictions or even confiscation are not the responsibility of Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery.

*Please be aware all shipments will be declared at full value for customs and will be marked merchandise, not gift. Purchaser is responsible for all accruing customs charges or tariffs.

Damage Claims

If an item is damaged during the shipping process, Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery will help the customer to the best of our abilities through the claims process. We ask that the recipient take the following steps:

Please inspect your shipment upon arrival. Look for visible signs of damage on the exterior of the package/freight shipment. Photograph all exterior damage BEFORE opening package.

Buyer must keep all boxes and packaging materials. This is a mandatory requirement of both USPS and UPS. Failure to do so will result in denial of an insurance claim. Claims made through the U.S. Postal Service are the responsibility of the buyer and we will assist you in any way with sending you the necessary papers or insurance receipts.

Freight Deliveries: Notify the driver(s) of damage upon inspection. All damage should be noted on lading paperwork before the delivery is accepted and signed for. Do not refuse the shipment. If the shipment is refused then the purchaser is responsible for original and return shipping fees. The shipment must be accepted for the insurance claim process to start.

Recipients of damaged items must file a claim with the shipping/insurance provider. Claims are the responsibility of the buyer, but we will assist you in any way by sending you the necessary papers or insurance receipts. All compensation must also be sought through the shipping/insurance provider. Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery is not responsible for items damaged during the shipping process and thus does not issue refunds. Under no condition will shipping fees be refunded by Avonlea Antiques & Design Gallery.

Transit Times

Domestic Standard: Standard shipping will take 7-10 business days unless otherwise arranged.

Domestic Freight: Freight Shipping will take around 1-6 weeks depending on location and demand.

International Shipments: International shipments will have varying transit times due to location and customs regulations. We will ensure the fastest service possible on our end of the process.
